As more and more schools seek to innovate and transform the school experience, are we also reinventing the way we think about school leadership? Are we changing the ways that we lead in schools, or is our leadership falling behind the innovative practice happening in contemporary schools? This course explores the fundamentals of collaborative leadership, and how it can both serve and sustain modern schooling environments for the future world of learning. You'll explore how to build a culture that allows collaborative leadership to thrive, and construct a personal plan for developing co-leadership within your own context.
When we talk about making shifts toward modern learning, we often focus on learning for students. But how often are the adults in schools afforded opportunities––and trusted–– to determine their own learning, time to connect with peers to collaborate, reflect, exchange feedback, and share practices with one another? In order to create Modern Learning experiences for students, we need to experience Modern Learning ourselves, as teachers and learning leaders in schools. This course will guide you through that very process––a process to craft your own personal learning plan aligned with your unique context, needs, interests and passions––in partnership with your peers.
